internet has revolutionized the methods in which individuals obtain information. Americans and individuals in developed nations are especially prone to performing many of their more routine tasks on the internet. Individuals can now converse online, purchase goods online, pay bills online, and even access banking accounts online. These individuals seek convenience and ease of use in many of their routine transactions. With this increase convenience, consumers can engage in various activities with ease and comfort. Customers can access their account information from nearly any platform in the world. Also with the coming advent of cloud computing, seamless access to secure information, will be even more convenient. The same concept can be applied to news and it's subsequently subscription levels. Consumers want easy access to news in a manner that is convenient for them. The internet provides a platform for individuals to obtain news that is relevant to them in a timely manner. A newspaper traditionally was only delivered once a day in the morning. The internet however, allows companies to deliver news as they see fit. This is quite important in the information age as individuals often act on this information to make better informed decisions regards to their day-to-day activities.
Below is Table 1, which depicts internet users around the world. The table indicates the ubiquitous nature of the internet and its acceptances worldwide.

In regards to violence, it is my contention that the internet and a 24/7 news environment only decrease the prevalence of global violence. To begin, the internet allows individuals to read and generate beliefs in a few minutes. These beliefs can easily change as the inflow of information changes. As such, the individual can obtain a complete perspective as to the merits of individual situations and circumstances. Furthermore, violent acts are often committed out of simple ignorance. The belief that the world was flat was bourn from ignorance. The belief that the Earth was the center of the universe and everything rotated around it was bourn from ignorance. The slave trade in the 15th century was from ignorance. Adolf Hitler and the holocaust was ignorance. The one thing that all these periods have in common was that individuals didn't have access to adequate information. Slaves weren't allowed to read for example. Books were burned during the dark ages. Many individuals during Galileo's period were uneducated so they were forced to believe the earth was the center.....
