Admission Law School

EDUCATION: the University of Miami, BA communications major with a minor in psychology and sociology (year)

WORK EXPERIENCE:

LAW SCHOOL ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

When I was just eight years old, I fell in love with law after watching the hit American TV show Matlock. That was the year my mother signed me up to play the violin and I hated. I can still remember putting my hand on that brass instrument wanting to gag myself with a silver spoon. I say all of that because this is how bad I hated practicing with it because all I wanted to do was watch law television shows. As I grew up, so did my desire to want to become lawyer. Even though I had a father that was a successful cardiologist with a practice in New York, one older sibling, a sister currently in medical school (dermatology), I still was determined to become that future attorney and did not care about anything else.

Fast forward, years later, I graduate from high school and that dream to become a lawyer kind of went sour somehow. Somewhere along the line I had lost that passion. Deciding on a career has not been a straightforward process for me. However, the self-knowledge I have gained over the last four years makes it clear to me that law is the right choice. The study of communications has given me a deeper understanding of the world and my place in it, but understanding is not enough. I want to improve the systems that directly effects people's daily lives.

Furthermore, an understanding of the law is even a much more major asset. In order for a person to play a game, they first need to know the rules. Today, we live our complete lives under a sequence of laws, and it is too relaxed for someone with simply a basic accepting of these laws to fall victim to someone wanting him harm. The law is such a difficult thing, and it narrates to our behavior in a complex way concerning competing interests, individuals and objectives.

As time has gone on, law has always been of particular interest to me more and more. What draws to me most is the understanding of rules that govern our society. Representation turn out to be progressively important as values of society changes over time. Diverse parties hold different viewpoints. Nonetheless that is what makes….....
