Advertisements Comparison

Advertisements to Compare

Understanding the consumer behavior is the first and significant step in ensuring the product intended for sale gets the right placement in the sales chain. The communication of the desired message about a product to the target customer is of great importance since without getting information about a product then there is no way one can purchase the product. This is because the customers have to have adequate information for them to make an informed decision of whether or not they will purchase what is being sold.

The paper will look at two advertisements and make a comparison of the two. It will also identify the target group that is likely to purchase the product that is on the advertisement. There will also be a discussion on the channels of communicating the message that is on the advertisement to the target group and details on how the channels that have been selected would best serve the advertisement. Finally negative impacts that would occur for one of the channels that have been selected will be looked at.

Advertising is a central aspect in marketing and the means through which a companies or businesses encourage people to go for their product service or idea. Businesses often choose on public communication modes since a large number of potential customers are reached through such modes and the marketing personnel know that the same communication reaches many other people hence a large number of potential buyers feel their motives of buying are well understood by the advertiser. Below is a table that shows a comparison between two print advertisements derived from the website whose website links are attached in the references section below.

2. Shoes

Very little space and words have been used on the advertisements to get the pointy home

Many words and little space have been used to put the point across in the advert

A lot of color has been used on the advertisement

The color red has been used to put emphasis on the important points customers have to note

Print advertisements have to be eye catching and they must draw the attention of anyone viewing them. These two advertisements are both very attractive, in the first advertisement anyone looking at it will probably salivate due to the pictures of the two burgers which they see. On the shoes advertisement, anyone looking at it will be attracted by the beautiful pictures of the shoes that are on the advertisement.
These two adverts therefore definitely draw the attention of the one who is looking at them and they would develop an interest on the products that are being advertised since they have been presented in a way that catches their eyes and attention. By making these advertisements stand out and grab the attention of a casual browser is therefore a great art on its own. In the shoes advertisement the color red and capital letter have been used as emphasis which draws the attention of the reader. The color red and capital letters normally visually attract attention hence they are used for emphasis. This second advertisement has many words which give adequate information on what the shop is offering. On the other hand the advertisement of the McDonald's burger is simple and precise with only pictures of the burgers which speak for themselves. They do no not need any further explanation since the pictures on their own speak for themselves (Gfk, 2014)

Target audience

The MacDonald's advertisement targets everyone from children to adults and this is because burgers are popular among….....
