Adverts should ideally be factual, some businesses have in the past gone overboard in an attempt to make their presentations more appealing to the public. This they have done by distorting and misrepresenting facts. The For a better start in life, Start COLA earlier advert is one of the many adverts that have in the past presented information that is not only erroneous but also misleading. Advert of this nature ought to be taken off the press by the relevant regulatory agencies.

In this particular advert, consumers are encouraged to ensure that their babies become consumers of the COLA drink from an early age. This according to the advert is the only way to ensure that the said children's lifetime happiness is guaranteed. To substantiate its claims, the advert points out that tests done in a laboratory setting "have proven that babies who start drinking soda during that early formative period have a much higher chance of gaining acceptance…during those awkward pre-teen and teen years.
