By definition, Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a protracted general inflammatory ailment, categorized by infammation of the synovial soft tissue and mutilation to articular tendons and bone, which in turn brings about extreme incapacity, practical deterioration, and enhanced death. Methotrexate (MTX) is one of the latter set of drugs, and is considered to be among the first product line drugs that treat rheumatoid arthritis.

In addition, the authors and researchers of the study took careful measures. They made certain that all of the participants were actual patients who had a clear understanding of the diagnosis of RA.
