The risings and civil wars in the Middle East are trending topics, which have enlightened me on why the region is going through a time of crisis when it was peaceful before. The Arab Spring was a major disruption followed by civil wars and terrorism in Yemen, Libya and Syria. Even before all this, the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003 destabilized the entire region in different extents (Ryan, et al., 2016). Even several years down the line, these regions are still facing the same situations, meaning that they have not learnt from the happenings of their neighboring countries and continue to be a victim of the same devastations and disasters. The regions are busy safeguarding their elites whilst compromising the security of the citizens. The countries that economically depend on other countries, have to compromise their own defense, and fight wars for the countries they are dependent on like Jordan, Sudan and Morocco.

ISIS is one of the trending global topics, which started in 2014, when a group of Islamists captured several towns in Iraq. The military, which was trained by the United States, abandoned their weapons and posts and fled the towns due to the rising of the ISIS. The ISIS continued to overtake different territories and after they were attacked by the U.
