Every now and then, an opportunity presents itself that a person just wants to grab because it seems an opportunity made just for him. That's how I feel about the Benjamin H. Namm Scholarship. It would help me enormously in the pursuit of my dreams.

Since I was a child, I knew I must make something good out of my life. My father was a chemist, and he wanted me to go at least as high as he did, if not further. When I was only in elementary school, he taught me as if I was a college student! I would come home from school, eat a little snack in the kitchen, and then go straight to work. First and most important was math. My math book was always the first book I touched. My father was there to make sure I got all my math problems right, and if I did not, I would have to stay up through the night until I had done them correctly.
