OVERVIEW


The purpose of this assignment is to apply the May, Can, Should model through analysis of a specific education policy. An effective tool for finding this legislation is through www.govtrack.us and the cost of the legislation through the Congressional Budget Office at www.cbo.gov.

The American Rescue Plan of 2021 exhibits many of the biblical principles espoused in the bible. The play provided many relevant elements related to education policy within the United States. These policy mandates included the “Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund,” emergency assistance to non-public schools, support for historically black colleges and universities, and improvements to student aid administration. This education policy is very consistent with many biblical principles. For example, the concept of natural role has roots in biblical teachings. Here, natural law is the belief of moral entitlement inherent within every human being. Education and more appropriately “Enlightenment” is central tenet of these natural laws. Here, it is important to have a civilization that not only looks to enhance their understanding of the natural world, but does so with though the foundation provided by biblical principles. These right to knowledge and education is therefore inalienable and is conferred to individuals irrespective of race, sex, or affiliation. As it relates to the constitutional authority of the federal government to become involved in education policy, they have the right to enact laws that can govern the nation. The Supreme Court, and their respective branch of government is designed to interpret and provide an opinion on the laws enacted by congress (Crutsinger,, 2021).

The likelihood of the American Rescue Plan being enacted is high. For one, the nation has often had a strong proclivity towards education and its merits to society at large.

This is a core tenet of the bible and reflects the need for selflessness in the face of adversity. This adversity has typically come in the form of temptation from Satan, but can also come from adversities related to general life. It is important for society to pull together to help one another succeed so that society as a whole can succeed (Schroeder, 2021).
From a constitutional perspective the policy should be supported by society to help maintain its competitive position relative to other developed nations. In addition, the policy should be supported based on the benefits that society would derive in the short term. Here, those who have lost their job or career can properly retrain and develop new skills which can be leveraged to improve their overall standing in life. Likewise, society can benefit as individuals….....
