We Are Here to Help You Find the Help that You Want

The purpose of this pamphlet is to provide you with important information about what resources are available to help you. We hope that you will be able to use this information to improve your life as much as possible by increasing your safety and help you find ways of satisfying your most basic human needs even during the hardest times of your life. We hope that you will be able to use this information to find better alternatives to homelessness if you want to and to improve your life on the streets as much as possible if you choose to remain homeless.

Ultimately, the purpose of this pamphlet is to help you in every way that you might desire assistance but without imposing any decisions on you that you do not choose. The following organizations are available and we hope that the information we provide will enable you to contact the organization of your choice that you believe might offer the services that you need.

Eva's Initiatives is dedicated to working with homeless and at-risk youth to you improve your lives in the short-term and to help you become self-sufficient, healthy, and happy in the long-term. This organization operates 3 shelters in the Greater Toronto Area that provide safe shelter for 114 youths every night. In the course of a single year, this organization helps more than 2,300 young people improve their lives by helping them reconnect with family and obtain counseling services on a voluntary basis. That includes continuing your education or finding career training and employment opportunities. It is committed to helping young people between the ages of 16-24 to improve their life situations, such as by getting off the street if they want to. In addition to providing temporary shelter and transitional short-term housing, it also helps at-risk young people reduce their vulnerability to harm and to overcome alcohol and drug problems.
