How my Skills and Knowledge will Benefit the Bureau of Organized Crime

The relevance of having the most qualified and skilled personnel at one of Chicago Police Department's most important arms in the fight against illegal narcotics and gang activity cannot be overstated. I am convinced that I have the relevant knowledge and skills to not only successfully serve, but to also be of great benefit to the Bureau of Organized Crime. I will elaborate.

To begin with, during the time I have been in service as a Chicago Police Officer, I have gained practical skills in policing and further enhanced my basic recruit training in such areas as report writing, drugs, and gangs. These are skills that I intend to actively utilize in my new role.

It is also important to note that the changing nature of organized crime needs a different and more efficient approach -- and hence a new set of skills.
