If I were student BI would have responded in a positive manner. I would have written something like:

"Hello, sorry I didn't respond to you earlier. As you probably know I am very busy with my schoolwork. I think it would be cool to get together sometime, maybe in a few weeks when we are less busy. Thursdays are good for me, if you want to have a quick drink. Let me know."

I would not suggest any changes to the initial e-mail from Student A. While there could be some grammatical errors, e-mails are not supposed to be grammatically correct, and anyway, this communication is casual and informal.
