Wikipedia can be edited in a matter of seconds. In contrast, a peer-reviewed journal, by definition, is professionally edited and fact-checked by competent individuals other than the author of a single article. The relatively slow process of publication through a peer-reviewed journal also enhances its accuracy.

Some anonymous sources are more likely to be accurate -- government websites that are informational (rather than partisan) in content, such as those authored by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control), NIMH (National Institution for Mental Health), or FDA (Food and Drug Administration) may be anonymous, but they are generated by well-respected collective professionals.
The information on such sites is usually current (another criteria for accuracy) and relatively unbiased. Finding accurate and unbiased sources for certain types of subjects, like politics, can often by particularly difficult and it is essential to evaluate the credentials of the author of the site, the website's commitment to fact-checking and addressing both sides of an issue, and the timeliness and verifiability of its coverage (Assessing, 2009, LEO).
