For instance, Willard E. Brown’s murder case was tied to Hunt’s case based on DNA evidence. Brown, who was incarcerated for another murder, confessed to raping and stabbing Deborah Sykes to death, after his DNA matched the profile at Sykes’ crime scene (Innocence Project, 2017).
