Overall, the company's involvement in Kava is going to be increased. One of the most important aspects of Nik's role is going to be to define the company's role in the country, not just with respect to profit but with respect to the government and the people of Kava as well. Understanding the different risks and threats to success is going to be essential, but so is understanding the ethical implications of the company's actions. Nik will need to work with the government and head office to ensure that the expansion plans and the emergency response plans are going to meet the needs of all stakeholders, and this may involve managing the expectations of some of those stakeholders with regard to what the company is capable of.
