There are many facts about North Central Wisconsin that may concern the people of Wisconsin when they compare their state with the census of the United States. Some of the counties of this area are Clark, Iron, Lincoln, Marathon, Oneida, Portage, Price, Taylor, Vilas, and Wood counties. The demographics of North Central Wisconsin compared to the United States shows that this area of Wisconsin is rapidly growing with baby boomers.

There are about 430,000 people living in this area compared to 5,401,906 people in the state of Wisconsin and 284,796.
