Summer Program Would Help Them in Their Career

Globalization is certainly one of the most pressing topics in the contemporary society. This concept is especially visible as we come across it on a daily basis and as we realize that it would be impossible for us to stop it (not that we would want to). Interacting with individuals from different cultural environments can be very refreshing as long as someone is familiar with filtering information with the purpose to learn constructive things. Our homes are our comfort zones -- this does not necessarily mean that staying in one's own culture for the rest of one's life is a bad thing, but exploring other cultures and coming into contact with ideas one could not have thought about in the past can make it possible for an individual to acknowledge that he or she needs to travel.

Society appears to promote the idea that life is a paradox -- a person can live most of their lives putting across passive attitudes with regard to pressing issues in the world and then regret not getting more involved or someone can spend most of their lives fighting for these respective problems to the point where he or she is no longer able to focus on their personal matters. I believe that these two can be brought together as long as an individual is well-acquainted with his or her personality and with his or her goals at every moment in their lives. This is why I believe that the summer program is going to have a positive effect on my character and on my understanding of the world.

Ethnic-hate crimes rarely occur in Ireland (as previously said, the fact that it is a relatively small island makes this idea surprising), as its people appear to have a complex understanding of the significance of treating everyone as equals. The fact that Ireland has had a history of being abused certainly plays an important role in shaping the way that the Irish think. These people have reached a point where they are primarily interested in promoting equal opportunities for everyone regardless of their ethnicity.

The overall environment in Ireland would likely be a positive influence for everyone wanting to learn more about diplomacy and about cultural diversity. This is why I am especially interested in being a part of this program -- I believe it would enrich my knowledge in ways that would be inaccessible otherwise. My presence in a group having similar goals to mine and in a country where these goals would be supported as a consequence of the diversity it contains would certainly benefit my growth as an individual.

I regard my education and my experience in a foreign country as something that is not only beneficial for me -- it can be beneficial for society as a whole. By coming in contact with a series of cultural values and by using them with the purpose to develop strong connections with others, I can basically pass what I learnt on to other people and I can enable them to get a taste for cultural diversity.

Ireland is, to a certain degree, the gate to European ideas and cultures. Through visiting the country in a context promoting diversity and diplomacy, a person can seriously improve his or her understanding of the world. At the same time as he or she learns about the world, the individual also….....
