Dr. Rank would be critical of Nora's actions, but not from a moral perspective, as Torvald's, but because it puts her in danger of the law, and her family, by extension, in danger of the grasp of an unethical and unprincipled man. Because Dr. Rank was denied a normal life because of his father's liberal lifestyle, he might worry about the effects of this upon Nora's children, as well as upon their father's lives, should Nora's unethical behavior be revealed.
