On many occasion, when a person is in an executive position, he or she will look down on others and treat them horribly. This may appear the case with how much the professors are placing on them which needs to stop immediately with this type of behavior. If they keep it up, they are going to face termination from their superiors, which is not worth it (Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, 2011).

Not only that, but maybe they are not keeping a positive attitude towards their administrative assistants. They are negative and crude to them for striving to keep up with all the tasks that are placed on them daily. Regardless, this is unprofessional, and the faculty need to expereince ways in which to change their egos by not thinking they are more powerful than their counterparts at the university. Regardless, these indiviudals need to "admit their mistakes" (Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, 2011, p.1). When they do this, then hopefully their attitudes will change because of it. In turn, their secretaries will enjoy working with the faculty members, and they will want to work better as a team to meet the needs of students better. Also, each of them should give credit where it is due for something that was told to them, so that humility will become a part of their life. If these habits mentioned are put into practice, the work environment is going to become more pleasant for everyone (Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, 2011).


4. Consider other alternatives to reduce the strain on the administrative assistants.

One needs to mention additional alternatives to reduce the strain on the administrative assistants. The university can give them breaks every four hours that are fifteen minutes in length, along with a one hour lunch. This will give them time to relax and to not think about work during that time frame. They can have music going at their workstation in order to ease the burden that is placed on them from faculty within their department. What will make it easier for them, though, is to have faculty taking on half of their workload (Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, 2011).

This makes it 50/50 which makes it fair and equal to both parties involved on a regular basis. As a result, stress level will decrease, and people will get along by having less conflict, which makes the work day worthwhile, especially as they seek to make a difference in the lives of their students. Through these efforts, high blood pressure will decrease, and they will have the capabilities of feeling as if they can breathe without trying to frantacially get everything done quickly at the expense of their health. When all is complete, people will take better care of themselves better because of it (Landsbergis, et al., 1993)......
