Also, in the category of changes brought about by the new chairman and CEO, Motorola presented its customers with gadgets incorporating cutting edge technologies; these gadgets expanded their functionalities and could easily compete with any product on the market.

But to achieve corporate unification and the improvement of the international image of Motorola's, the chief executive officer had to change the corporate culture and values. This was to be commenced by the formation of a new mission statement. The new statement had to contain references about a stronger company devoted to satisfying the needs of customers, their usage of the latest technologies and also the true importance of Motorola employees to the success of the company. It could sound something like this: On our path to organizational growth and excellence, we thank our customers for their loyalty by offering them the best products, the result of hard work from our committed employees, combined with the cutting edge technologies of today and tomorrow.

His charismatic personality can be pointed out by his usage of friendly language, such as "Listen folks," by his engaging in numerous conversations with several employees or customers, by the extrovert nature of his discussions and by the constant smile on his face.
