Emotions, Attitudes, and Job Satisfaction

Emotional intelligence refers to the field of knowledge that portrays an individual's or an organization's ability to demonstrate concern, understanding and care for other people's emotions. It applies to both business interactions and individual interactions (Goleman, 2012). There is serious need to understand the psychology of those we deal with and how we can match with ours. A good emotional intelligence comes with an individual or an organization understanding itself and understanding the other people that they are in a relationship together. This paper discusses Trader Joe Company's emotional intelligence and its effects on business endeavors. The study focuses on the benefits of having an appropriate emotional intelligence program in the overall course of the business.

Organizational behavior models and productivity

Organizational behavior models postulate the need to have a good business relationship with clients and other individuals related to the business in one way or other entities related in terms of business. One aspect of organizational behavior catered for under emotional intelligence is the basic understanding of own strength, weaknesses and emotional advantages that one has. For instance, in decision-making, patience and foresight are two qualities that need to be there. They are all useful in maintaining a good relationship and in making sound decisions (Arnold, 2010). Presence or absence of them will determine whether an organization will thrive or not. Trader Joe Company management has understood this fact and is always employing the best emotional intelligence practices in their relationship with their partners.
