There are various reasons for this change. One of these is a great reduction in the opportunity given to the blacks in the case of expenses, financial; support, coaching based on weaknesses in the infrastructure of the American baseball. This year, more than 27% of the players of the American baseball are Hispanics. Based on this fact, one of the main questions that arise in mind is if American baseball is turning too Hispanic (Rader, 2008, p. 34).

As compared to the players, there has been a positive change in the ethnic diversity in the case of coaches in the American baseball. In the season of 2011, there was more than 31% increase in the coaches of different races. This is a 2% increase since 2010. There has been a 14% increase in the number of African-American coaches as compared to the Hispanics and Latin coaches (Elias, 2001, p. 54).

The racial and ethnic diversity of the American baseball has reduced largely in the past few years. This is not exactly what Jackie Robinson dreamed for the American baseball.
