This sculpture is a huge lifelike portrayal of a baby girl. Whereas many artists wish to portray images of life at its best, or better, superrealism movement has tried to show life as it actually is. This work is fascinating because of its size and what it represents. All of us have had this experience, but it is not a memory we have access to.

This painting is labeled a piece within the Social Realism movement and portrays a conflict in Chicago and was based on real events. Evergood, the artist, had experienced the oppression of the police personally and was said to have been beaten up by a cop at a different event. The passion for the event is quite clear in the piece and it illustrates the a diverse group unified in solidarity against an attacking police force who killed and injured many people during the real life event.
