Within a developing world, there are different sporting activities. Some sporting activities are designed for people of differing genders. In the past, such connotative differences were rampant and occupant to the lives of many people. However, globalization and human incentive to engage in new challenges has necessitated gender involvement in various avenues of sporting. For instance, women are known to play masculine sporting disciplines like rugby and American football. Basing on the intensity of the games and their demands, women can never be thought to participate in such games and sporting activities. However, the spirit of sporting has encouraged people of differing genders to engage in new sporting activities that were not in contention initially (Deem & Gilroy, 1998).

Gender differences are only notable when it comes to engagement in other social activities that require masculine or feminine qualities. Nonetheless, when it comes to sporting activities, many women have left their inabilities and engaged in sporting activities that were a preserve for men in the past. Such sporting activities are football, soccer, and rugby, among others. In the modern world, gender difference plays no role in keeping separations between men and women in the sporting field. Given the understandable differences in masculine and feminine qualities, this perception has been shunned by the desire to engage in sports and make a mark in the field. Because of this, many women engage in sporting activities that are directed at boosting their capabilities in and out of the field.

For instance, a number of sporting activities could not be open to women or men because they were thought to derail their status as masculine or feminine. However, the emergence of diversity in sports has enabled many people across the gender barriers to engage in various sporting activities.
