Opening an office that specializes in psychiatry is an arduous and time-consuming project, but it can also be quite a fulfilling endeavor if done correctly. This proposal concerns creating a business plan that will allow for the founding of a psychiatry office and all the considerations that go along with that project. It is therefore proposed that a psychiatry office be established by the author of this paper in an area of approximately 250,000 residents, preferably within the next year. The purpose of the office will be to offer services to young adults and children in need of psychiatry counseling in the pursuit of assisting these individuals in gaining a semblance of normalcy once again (or for the first time) in their lives. A recent study showed that "young adults with emotional and behavioral difficulties can be less prepared than their peers to take responsibility at the age of 18" (Lindgren, Soderberg, Skar, 2013, p. 103).
