However, one would have to think that the steps that are not actually shown would still have to have been addressed in order for a company to be secure in moving ahead. After both models are examined, though, it is seen that they are very similar. They do not clash with one another and actually complement each other very well. Both of them could be very valuable to any company that is looking for a way to make better decisions because they have the same ideas and goals in mind.

They both look at external and internal threats, which is something that has to be done in any strategic plan in order to ensure that a company has thought of everything and can more easily move forward in a way that will allow for success.
With the globalization of the corporate world, threats to a company do not just come from internal factors. They also come from external factors -- some of which might have been unforeseen until just a few years ago (Chuvala, 2002). It is with that in mind that both of these models will provide a lot of insight for corporations that are operational today......
