Surprisingly, it is more difficult for illegal immigrants to cross the border into Mexico than it is for them to enter the U.S.A large number of illegal immigrants initially cross the border with the thought of working for some time in the U.S., after which they want to return to their home country. However, they are sometimes forced to remain in the U.S., fearing that the justice system would penalize them for their actions.

The U.S. has always stood as a symbol of freedom, a country offering complete freedom and equality for all, thus the presumed reason for people wanting to come, settle and work here. Ellis Island is a symbol for immigrants coming to the country in hope of a better future. However, matters are different with the Mexican immigrants because of their blind determination to cross the border regardless of the consequences.

It is generally known that it is impossible for the people illegally residing in the U.S. To be simply thrown out of the country.
As a consequence, the U.S. government should no longer ignore them, and, in return, it should grant them full citizenship. In reply, in order to discourage people from attempting to enter the country illegally, the authorities should get rid of all laws and programs favoring the stay of undocumented people on U.S. territory. As harsh as this method might be, it will most probably have the effects that the government and the whole nation hope for.

A physical barrier does not keep people from crossing it and this has been proven throughout history. No material fence is strong enough to stop people, their determination making it possible for them to perform almost anything. However, the concept of the U.S. being less welcoming than it presently is will most certainly discourage most illegal immigrants from wanting to enter the country......
