Further, the speaker dismisses this generalization when arguing that children, that do not pay taxes either, cannot be "punished" which means that at least they are not lazy.

A psychological fallacy in the speech may be considered the one presented in the sentence "Before you know it, the Slackers will demand a new iPhone5." This sentence implies a generalization of an assumed practice on the one hand. Although the use of "iPhone 5" is symbolic, the speaker makes reference to a general good that the slackers may consider to be rightfully theirs.
At this point, similar to other examples, there are no concrete facts supporting this assumption and therefore such a generalization is not verifiable. On the other hand, it is a psychological fallacy particularly because it assumes a certain behavior on the basis of personal knowledge or information gathered from a limited number of people. The speaker cannot consider the attitude of a group to be representative for the entire community. He makes use of particular information and generalizes it as a community trait. This is not factually-based nor evidence supported, reason for which this argument is not valid. The use of this strategy weakens the speech especially taking into account the fact that the assumptions made are negative and support his overall speech only to provide a rhetorical impact.
