As a single downloadable live CD that doubles over as installment and rescue disk, I found the installation of MEPIS to be somewhat slower than that of Windows Server, but once installed I had a portable operational system that I could use wherever I wanted basically taking my home computer with me wherever I want.

I found Windows Server faster to install than MEPIS: first the text, then the graphic.
