Soccer in Brazil

Imagine going to the country of Brazil, but before going one studies the history and impact of soccer. The culture is influenced and the people strive to either participate or cheer on the team. This region is unified by this sport, and life is not the same without it. One will examine how much this game has inspired the economy and everyone in the nation for the positive from the beginning to the present. Many versions are present in regards to the history of soccer in Brazil. This started with the sailors who were British as well as Dutch. They used to play this game on the coastline in the northeastern part of the region. However, many claim that Mr. Hugh is the father of soccer (Maps of World, 2011). He was the first to teach it to those who worked on the "Sao Paulo Railway in Jundiai in 1882" (Maps of World, 2011). On other hand, some believe it was Mr. John who begun it, and that "he taught the Loepoldina Railway workers to play the game of soccer in 1875 or 1876" (Maps of World, 2011). The most popular standpoint used today is that "Charles William Miller" commenced this exercise in 1901. He left Brazil to go to England for his studies, and then returned to train others for athletics. Furthermore, the soccer match was against Sao Paulo at that time (Maps of World, 2011). In regards to the culture and economy of this country, one has to note how it has helped the country each time a game takes place.

They are unified through it because of their "patriarchal society" (MacLachlan, 2003). The classes have weak ties, but somehow this occurrence brings them together no matter what their socioeconomic status (MacLachlan, 2003). For those that is supporters in the lower class, each person have a membership that is "independent of the team club," and their name is the O. Cruzeiro" (MacLachlan, 2003).
