Moreover, the study compares the effect on human factors on different types of aircraft. The study also reveals the correlation between the anomalies and type of aircrafts.

Human factors cause of Aircraft Accidents

The results of the descriptive statistics reveal that situational awareness is the most contributing human factor to aircraft accidents with the Mean =112. Moreover, the Mean value of the communication breakdown is 80 which rank second as the human factors problem to aircraft incidents. Typically, communication breakdown occurs when the pilot or other aircraft crew is unable to communicate with terminals. Communication is very critical for effective operations of aircraft, a pilot will require to constantly making radio communication when on air to ensure the aircraft safety and the aircraft is on the right direction. Confusion as human factor ranks third with the Mean =70. The descriptive statistics table shows other important human factors that cause the commercial aircraft accidents which include distraction, human,-machine interface and trouble shooting.

Human factors cause of different types of Aircraft Accidents

The study also compares the human factors that cause different type of aircraft accidents. As being in fig 1 and 2, the situation awareness is the most contributing factor to that cause aircraft accidents for both the B737 Classic and B747 aircraft. However, the B737 Classic provides Mean =130 value for the situation awareness, while B747 records Mean =70 for the situation awareness.
The communication break is another most contributing human factor that causes aircraft accidents. However, the Mean value for B737 is 90, while the Mean value of B747 is 55. Although, B747 is bigger than B377 Classic, however, the human factors affecting the bigger aircraft are more pronounced than the human factors affecting the smaller aircraft.

However, A320 Family is a slim aircraft. As being revealed in the fig 3, the human factors causing the aircraft accidents for the A320 Family are higher than the human factors for both B747 and B737. The situation awareness for the A320 Family is 340 while the communication breakdown is 240.

Correlating factors between types of anomalies and Aircraft Type

The paper also investigates the anomalies and the aircraft type. The paper uses the factors below as the types of anomalies that can cause aircraft accidents:

Aircraft Equipment Problem

ATC Issues

Conflict

Deviation Altitude

Deviation Procedural

In-flight Event

As being revealed in Fig 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9, the 999, A320 Family aircraft and B737NG are the most vulnerable to anomalies out of all the aircrafts evaluated.

Conclusion

The aircraft incidents that lead to the constant loss of life has been the major concern to government and pople globally. When an aircraft accidents occurs, the devastating effect is inestimable notably loss of life and damage to the aircraft. The objective of this study is to investigate correlations between human factors and aircraft incidents. The study also analyses factors leading to aircraft incidents by comparing human factors, aircraft types, anomalies types, phase of flight, and contributing factors. The human factors has been the major factors that cause aircraft accidents. The situational awareness and comunication breakdown have been the major factors leading to aircraft incidents. However, the correlation between the aircraft type and aircraft incidents reveal.....
