Instead of striving to standardize them, the players in the workplace community should try to capitalize more on the points of difference offered by culturally diverse staff members, such as their increased ability to communicate with culturally diverse customers.

5. Impact of the Study on Career and Personal Life

It is yet uncertain as to how the personal career of the researcher would be impacted by the findings of the study. What is however known with certainty is that the baggage of HRM knowledge of the researcher has significantly increased. Within the context of the personal life, the impact is similar to that within the working place in the meaning that the failures would not be so harshly judged, but that expectations would be created. Unlike the workplace, from where the employee is likely to leave if continuous infringements of his new HRM beliefs are obvious, the personal life does not offer this possibility -- or at least not under normal circumstances. This virtually means that the researcher would intensify their efforts and ensure that their personal life improves and increases its ability to achieve the pre-established goals.

In terms of future career path, the initial impulse was that of focusing on jobs within the field of human resource management. Yet, after more thought was put into this initial desire, it was concluded that it would be best not to change career paths -- at least not at this stage.

Specifically, it was realized that more emphasis needs to be placed on the functioning mechanisms behind various organizational structures and functions. This realization translates into a personal commitment to study harder and improve one's knowledge of not only human resource management, but also of other organizational functions and strategies.

6. Conclusions

From the time it was formed during the Industrial Revolution, the employment community has gradually evolved and it is now a modern day, complex setting which places the staff member at the core of organizational processes. This modification has been due to the realization of the important role played by the technical and intellectual capital of the employees. In order to further stimulate the participation of employees to the accomplishment of organizational goals, organizational managers implement a wide series of human resource strategies.

These strategies are channeled onto six directions, each with its specific functionality, but all of them interacting to support the achievement of company objectives. In terms of the lessons learnt from the theoretical endeavor, these have multiple applications within both personal and professional contexts, as well as in the present time and in the future time. Examples of lessons include the necessity to accept and integrate cultural diversity, the necessity to adapt to various organizational settings or the necessity to gather more knowledge in order to meet the professional expectations of the self and of the others......
