Hypothesis

The hypothesis in this case will be that there is a relationship between getting enough sleep and performing well at school. The better the student gets quality and sufficient sleep, the better the concentration during the school hours hence boosting the concentration of the student and in return performing well in all that is school related.

Variables

The variables in this situation will be two, the independent variable which will be the sleep, which in this research will be changed in terms of hours that the different subjects will be subjected to, the length of the sleep hours will be varied and the outcome in terms of academic performance will be analyzed. The dependent variable will be the performance of the student in academics that will be monitored with the variation of the independent variable.

Methodology

Being that it is a study that ahs to do with change in quality of human output, there will be need to have volunteer participants and the collection of data be done through observation.

The participants will be drawn from high schools students from two different schools so that the analysis of the data is more objective. There will be a random sample of five students drawn from each grade of each school. They will be asked at the onset to indicate their sleeping and waking schedule.
