Inauguration

Once every four years, the President of the United States is sworn in at the inauguration ceremony in January. The event is practical as well as symbolic. It represents the culmination of American democracy, as the leader of the United States of America is empowered and entrusted with the duties of office. The inauguration ceremony might be distasteful for those who harbor resentment against Obama because but that ill will and deep-rooted negative sentiments need to be left out of this momentous occasion. A ticket to the inaugural ceremony is a great honor indeed, and nothing would please me more than to stand in the audience among my fellow citizens and contemplate how far we have come as a country in just a few hundred years. The fact that Barack Obama is the first African-American president shows that America is finally waking up and fulfilling the promises that were embedded in the original constitution and its Bill of Rights. I request tickets to the inauguration ceremony on the grounds that I appreciate the solemnity and importance of the occasion.
