Henry Stewart is one of the most valued clients for the company since he is a renowned real estate agent who has referred many clients to this company. Stewart recently has trees and shrubs in his home sprayed for insects by the two new company staff you assigned to work in his residence. However the assigned workers killed over $2,000 in prize fish since they did not cover the pond when spraying trees and shrubs for insects. Stewart has since written letter in which he is terminating his service and threatens legal action if he does not receive restitution for his dead fish. Moreover, he has posted a scathing commentary on the company's blog in which he requested for remuneration publicly.

The accident at Stewart's residence was probably fueled by the fact that you sent new workers alone, which was a breach of company policy that requires pairing new and experienced workers on work assignments. This situation, which has considerable impact on the company's reputation and operations, could have been prevented through compliance with the policy regarding assigning employees for different assignments. Secondly, the situation could have been prevented through training employees on procedures relating to spraying trees and shrubs. Their failure to cover the pond is an indication of probable lack of proper training since training of new employees helps in ensuring they obtain the capabilities for performing their jobs (Wilke, 2006).
