The Connally Bullet - CTKA

According to an article by Robert Harris (published in Citizens for Truth About the Kennedy Assassination, CTKA), the bullet that was alleged to have passed through Kennedy and Connally was found to be in "near pristine condition," and when examined under a microscope, no tissue or blood was found. Moreover, an orderly named Darrell Tomlinson, who found the bullet, was bringing the stretcher that had brought Connally to the hospital to the ground floor when he discovered it. The FBI "panicked" when it realized the bullet didn't match those fired from Oswald's rifle. This is highly suspicious and there is no known explanation. Another mystery in a very confusing and suspicious story. So, why did the FBI misrepresent the bullet fragments and the pristine bullet (that didn't match the Oswald rifle) and basically become involved in a sham to hide evidence? Harris insists that the FBI had to have the help of a doctor or a nurse to pull off such a deception. Hoover seems to have been involved in all of this, since he certainly had his hands in the investigation and had the means to hide what he knew. And the FBI could have covered up the killing of Kennedy. Hence, one theory is that shadowy elements of the federal government conspired to kill Kennedy.

Mary Ferrell's Theories

In her Web pages noted researcher and historian Mary Ferrell asks numerous key questions about the killing of Kennedy, many of those questions and inquiries lead an alert reader to question many of the official reports put out by the government. For example why did J. Edgar Hoover and others in the federal government move to close the case very shortly after Oswald was murdered by Ruby? Ferrell admits there is no "proof" but on the other hand there is circumstantial evidence, she insists, to support "the allegation brought by Texas officials that Oswald was an FBI informant," and moreover, he was possibly an agent of U.S. intelligence, Ferrell continues.

If indeed this plot had substance, and someone like Oswald actually killed the president of the United States, this had to be a very sophisticated plot, sophisticated enough for "high officials" to prefer to "let sleeping dogs lie rather than take on such powerful forces" (Ferrell, p. 3).

The witnesses that were interviewed by journalists like Marrs easily contradict many of the assertions in the Warren Commission Report. One police officer for example had rushed up the grassy knoll after the shots were heard from that area. He confronted a man behind the fence, who said he was Secret Service, and even showed a badge. The big problem in this instance is that no Secret Service members were in that area, Ferrell writes.

Was there a plot at the highest levels? On page 5 Ferrell points out that famous prosecutor Richard Sprague -- who was brought in by the House Select Committee to head the case investigation -- refused to sign a "secrecy oath" with the CIA. He also was very aggressive in his probe, and the CIA didn't like that. Even the president's personal physician, interviewed by Sprague, said he had information that "…others besides Oswald must have participated," but boom, Sprague was fired from his job.

There have been so many government scandals, cover-ups and lies (think Bush's insistence that there were "weapons of mass destruction" in Iraq, justifying the invasion which has led to 4,400 deaths of Americans) that the government has been involved in, it is important that citizens know the truth. The list of distortions, deceptions, lies and blunders that the government of the United States has been involved in, is endless. From Nixon to Clinton to both Bush governments, it creates a lack of trust in the citizens that pay the taxes and do the work to keep the country going. That is why it would be good to finally uncover the truth about the assassination of President Kennedy. Who was responsible, why did it happen, and who is accountable for the cover-up?
