Though I shall try my hardest, words absolutely cannot express how profoundly and irrevocably you have made an etching on my soul with a celestial stroke. I can barely recall the time that existed before I met you, and while I was alive in those years, I was decidedly incomplete. You came into my life with a flit of sun and magic, and I've never been the same. I remember with the most vivid colors and strokes of memory just how you looked and just how I thought and felt when you walked into that coffee shop, three years ago and changed my life forever.

I was hunched over my laptop as always, drinking my third espresso. And several beams of sunlight gathered together, cascading through the plate glass window and I looked up without realizing what had happened, and in you walked… and everything slowed down. It was as if time itself had literally slowed down to a lilting halt, like a merry-go-round coming slowly to a stop. You were carrying your backpack and not looking at anyone; you were looking down at your phone and your hair fell partly across your eyes and brushed it away with one sweep of your alabaster hand. I saw the thick mat of dark eyelashes that framed your eyes, and suddenly you looked up and over at my direction.
