Even the most rebellious daughter carries some of her mother in her, whether she likes it or not.

Mothers influence values in many other ways, too. If a mother is obsessed with fashion or with her figure and beauty, she may pass this on to her daughter, who will become quite involved in the "right" clothes and hair and staying thin. Some of these values may not be the best for the mother or the daughter, but the mother still has an influence over the child. Mother's are usually the very first person a baby bonds with, and they are usually there with the baby at the very early stages of life. Thus, the mother and child have a lifelong bond that cannot be broken, and can be quite influential when it matters most. This bond grows through time, and it is quite difficult to break. It adds credence to the values that mothers pass down to their daughters, because children tend to trust the person they first bond with, and daughters trust their mothers as they grow older. They may rebel for a while, but most daughters come to understand the worth of what they have learned from their mothers, which is why they tend to pass it along to their own children.

Mothers have certain family values that they pass on to their daughters, too. These can be anything from how they keep their home (messy or neat), to what they cook for dinner, how they spend their free time, how they encourage their children, their religious beliefs, their work habits and career, and how they relate to their husband and others.
These values are often unspoken, but are passed down just the same. They are important because they really create the way their daughters will view the world, handle their own work and family, and raise their own children. Children learn from example, and daughters will follow the example of their mothers, the first person they bonded with, before they follow anything else. This is very important for the family, and for family values of the future. Daughters will always emulate their mothers, and today, some values are being emulated that might not be the best for future families, such as a great need for possessions, more work time and less family time, and less quality time spent with extended family, family, and friends. Today, many mothers are so busy working and trying to take care of their home and family that they have little time for anything else, and today's daughters may be learning that "things" like big houses and cars are more important than people.

In conclusion, it is clear that mothers pass on their values to their daughters, and their daughters are quite significant as the daughter grows older, goes through life, and raises her own family. Mothers pass on the values that will help a woman survive and thrive in the world, while making a difference and creating her own meaningful values in her own children. This has happened all throughout time, and it will continue to happen as long and mothers and daughters continue to live, work, and….....
