Secondary Prevention: Continue with the nitroprusside therapy and prescribed medications to directly treat the symptoms of hypertension and keep systolic blood pressure at an optimal level.

Tertiary Prevention: Moreover, the patient must set weight loss goals in order to reach a healthier weight. Within the first 3-6 months after being dismissed from hospital care, the patient should be at a target weight of between 1540-180 lbs. This can be assisted with the help and encouragement of the family, who can become active in sports or exercise routines with Mr. J on weekends and his days off.
