The strength of this project is that it focuses on encouraging the patients to cease tobacco smoking, a subject that is very rarely taken up by rehab houses. Since there are a number of diseases including HIV and Tuberculosis that have been linked with the use of tobacco and nicotine, encouraging the patients to give up smoking will do great benefit to the society and the health care department. As studies have concluded, this would directly affect the addictive behaviors of the patient in a more effective way. This plan can be improved if the studies pertaining to the rates of relapses in the aforementioned patients are documented to establish a relationship between the effectiveness of the program and cessation of smoking in individuals.
