Not only the body, but the mind was challenged during these activities. Current activity working on the newspaper and yearbook and the opportunity to take further courses in TV production and other unique subjects will further enhance chances to enlarge and test the mind, so it may grow.

Benjamin Disraeli was a British politician and writer who lived from 1804 to 1881. He wrote several books, including Sketches, Alroy, Lord George Bentinck, a Political Biography, and Henrietta Temple, a Love Story. Though he lived two centuries ago, his thoughts are timeless. In reading some of his thoughts, another related idea of his emerged: " it is knowledge that influences and equalizes the social condition of man; that gives to all, however different their political position, passions which are in common, and enjoyments which are universal.
" This means that reading and education lifts one up to a plane where one can see all of the world and understand the conditions of people all over the world. Knowledge, he said, gives one an understanding of every person's thinking and viewpoint. Whether one wants to adopt these ideas is another matter, but at least one can understand it if one knows about it.

The last quote that was found relating to the favorite quote above by Benjamin Disraeli confirms what is firmly believed by this author about the way to learn about life. One must try everything and perhaps fail, but "Seeing much, suffering much, and studying much, are the three pillars of learning" (Benjamin Disraeli).
