With the ever growing concept of globalization and the continuous changes going around in this world, staying up-to-date is of utmost importance. Today's organizations are a part of this ever changing world and learning and keeping track of these changes is a key necessity if these organizations want to survive. (Gowing, Kraft & Quick)

Organizations are made of humans and thus they can be classified as human systems. Whenever an organization wants to develop and take one step ahead it is necessary that first the human element is satisfied. Organizations can be said to be dynamic structures. If the pieces that make it do not work together in harmony the organization will eventually shatter. For any organization to develop it is quite important that changes be bought about to it on a regular basis, not only in the overall strategies but also operational tactics and other practices. Any changes that are put to place must be in sync with the diversity of the workplace.

Changes in an organization are bought through what is called organizational restructuring.
