The third level of the pyramid of needs has also motivated my desire to obtain my degree at Davenport. This level refers to the sense of belonging to a family, a group of friends or colleagues. This motivated me in the meaning that I desired to continue the family tradition and better relate to the family members that had attended Davenport. Also, this need was reflected by my desire to belong to a group of intelligent students guided by dedicated professors.

The last features from Maslow's hierarchy of needs that stimulated me to attend the Davenport courses were those of self-esteem and self-actualization. I knew that studying at Davenport would offer me the chance to prove my skills and intelligence and would sustain me in achieving my goals. Furthermore, the studies and the degree would offer me the opportunity to grow and improve my capabilities.

4. The general shortcoming of my team was that the members were not unified enough. Even though all members were highly skilled and intelligent, we were unable to communicate properly, to present our ideas and as such unable to function as a whole and successfully complete the given tasks. I believe that if we had been give more time to adjust to each other's methods, way of thinking and particular features of communication styles, we would have done a better job.

The written communication was basically inexistent, team members generally communicating though verbal speeches.

The verbal communication was sometimes enriched with harsh lines and remarks and the non-verbal communication generally reflected the lack of understanding and agreement.

5. Out of the multitude of studying methods, I found the most successful to be the discussions and the team assignments. Throughout these methods, I was given the opportunity to state my understanding and my opinion in regard to the subject discussed. Furthermore, I was able to listen to other view points in regard to the same matter, possibility which broadened my understanding of the issues discussed.

A found these strategies most helpful as they revealed several sides of the same problem. But the success of the discussions and the team projects was only reachable through individual study. As such, in order for the methods to work, students had to previously read and get familiarized with the debated topic. In the situations when this did not happen, the methods were not useful......
