God has given human beings the chance to achieve something that no other population has ever been able to hope for, namely the ability to become godlike and to live amongst Him and his angels and other celestial beings. What happens upon the earth and during a person's lifetime are immaterial except in how the person behaves and whether they behave according to Christian tenets. All humans have to do is follow the rules of the Bible and to obey God. The rewards for such behavior so outnumber the plenary and temporary satisfaction of sin that it seems incomprehensible to true Christians why anyone would choose to partake of it, yet unfortunately many do.

The way to become deified is to read the Holy Bible and to follow the tenets of the Christian religion. By following the rules of Christianity, namely the Ten Commandments and the teachings of the religion, a person could hope to go to Heaven after death. For some people, this concept is easy to accept and they easily devote their lives to being Christians and in promoting the concept of Christian charity. Some of the other aspects of Christianity that must be followed include repentance for sin and firmly pledging to sin no more, devotion to holy scripture and to encouraging others to accept Christ as their savior, commitment to their religion and the teachings of that religion, and also participation in the customs of the church including the sacraments and attending church regularly.
God expects obedience and agreement, but even understands when we falter. All he asks is an eventual acceptance of Christianity. "Theosis is achieved little by little, through the step-by-step spiritualization of our human nature. In this manner we achieve incorruption and the vision of God" (Stravropoulos 4). Other people somehow have more difficulty with this and because of this, they are less likely to be accepted into Heaven.

In order to partake of the divine nature of humanity, human beings are required to simply follow the directions that God has provided through the Bible. Specifically, they must also follow the customs of the Christian church, such as the Eucharist, because it both shows the person's dedication to the church and to its practices but also because it functions as a means of further connecting people to God through the taking in of the Holy Spirit. By participating and by practicing the virtues outlined in the Bible, people can transcend their mortal bodies and go to Heaven after they die.
