Thus, the analytic approach offers the best method of approaching philosophical questions, because it understands and explicates the problems and limitations of human consciousness immediately by intentionally discussing language itself, because no philosophical work can ever escape the linguistic and therefore philosophical limitations placed upon human thought by the borders of language.

The answer to the question "who am I" is revealed to be the "I" itself, made into a "who" in every instance of the word's utterance (whether aloud or in the mind of a reader). Whereas the two earlier philosophical approaches attempted to remove and separate the philosopher from the object of his or her study, the analytic approach realizes that everything, including the philosopher and his or her thought, are the objects of language and therefore ideology, such that the philosopher is reduced in importance in relation to the communication between humans, and the particular consciousness of the philosopher is discarded in favor of a consideration of the meaning and consciousness created in every enactment and utterance of language.

Different approaches to philosophical problems can provide different answers to the same questions, and by comparing these different approaches one may begin to understand which offers the most useful tools for a consideration of the human experience. After outlining the constituent ideas of the Platonic, Cartesian, and analytical approaches to philosophical questions, this study demonstrated that the analytical approach is most useful, because it addresses the limitations of human descriptive and cognitive ability head-on by looking to the particular uses of language as a means of understanding how that language structures and influences human thought and behavior.
