Physiotherapy and Obesity

The latest medical literature on the issue of obesity has factored in the role that physiotherapy plays in preventing or mitigating escalation of overweight and obesity among children and adults. One of the most significant findings from these studies is that "…exercise combined with diet is effective as a weight loss and weight management strategy. Further, regular exercise has health benefits even if no weight is lost" (Canadian Physiotherapy Association, 2008).
