I believe the reliability of the results is questionable, first because the poll only sampled 1,000 people, and that is not a true sampling of enough people to get a true result. If the poll sampled 50,000 or 100,000 people it would be more representative of the nation as a whole. I think the poll is an opinion of the respondents, but is not necessarily the opinion of the entire nation.

I think the purpose of the poll was to measure public opinion. If it was meant to mold public opinion it seems that it would have included more people, and the question would be more complicated and leading toward one answer over another. This poll's question is open-ended, simply asking a type of "yes" or "no" answer and it does not seem to be molding public opinion.

There is another poll on the site "Election 2006," and the question for that poll seems to be much more leading. It reads, "In the next election for U.S. Congress, do you feel that your representative deserves to be reelected, or do you think it is time to give a new person a chance?" The responses were more toward giving a new person a chance and it seems like this poll may have led them to that response, but this poll on the right track or the wrong track does not do that. I think this was a fair poll, and the only error in the poll was not using enough people. Most polls seem to use very small numbers of people as their sample, and this makes me wonder just how accurate most polls are......
