Ruby concentrates on sources of co-operation, or resources, which would or would not be available in a student's life by means of realistic teaching techniques. It derives from several years of experience in multiple school systems, and also a wide level of academic positions. In this popular book, the author shows the issues which are primary to teaching students who live in poverty, then takes the next step by providing successful solutions teachers can apply immediately to better the quality of teaching in their classrooms.
