Together, these two qualities help to ensure that research is conducted in an ethical and responsible manner.The conversation could thus be advanced by focusing on the two main points of integrity and transparency in conducting research. Integrity is important in research because it helps to ensure that data is collected and reported accurately. This is essential in order to maintain the validity of the research. Transparency is also important in order to ensure that all stakeholders have access to information about the research project. This includes funding sources, methodology, data collection and analysis procedures, and results. By providing this information upfront, researchers can help to build trust with their audience.Whether one is conducting qualitative or quantitative research, the intent should always be guided by integrity with transparent methods provided (Creswell & Creswell, 2018).
