People often make fun of Carson's success, and make it appear like people who act stupid always get ahead of those who stick to doing the 'right' thing. A popular image on social media, for instance, uses Carson's rule-breaking strategy, and the Biblical example of David, the young boy who kills the mighty and armed warrior Goliath with a sling and a small stone, after well-trained soldiers had given up and conceded defeat, to show why people who stick to the conventional way of doing things may never succeed.
