This book may open up new ideas and avenues for them to explore, and it may make the fundamental role of Christianity more understandable and attainable. It is clear that not everyone will agree with this book or the ideas it puts forth. However, I think reading this book with an open mind will create a better understanding of the foundations of religion, and what God and Jesus were really hoping to accomplish during the birth of Christianity. As the author notes early in the book, "David believed that God worked continually through individuals" (Girzone 25). This may be one of the most important lessons the reader can take from this book, and one of the most compelling reasons to read it.

Yes, this book has been helpful to me.
It crystallized some of the ideas I have often felt about religion, and opened up new avenues to explore in Catholic doctrine and dogma. I had to wonder when I finished reading, where is the "David" who is waiting to recreate the Catholic Church, and when will he get his opportunity to make a difference in the Church and in the world?.....
